Hello, my sister Jeanette sent me the great bio of Pat... I felt compelled to jot off a bio myself. I was in the class of 1960 reunion but could not make it due to heart problems... seemed to be all patched up for now having three stints installed just last year. I am considering coming to the July event, will keep you posted. After 40 years in the power and aerospace industries (1960's Apollo Moon program at the Cape). I'm now retired and in permanent employment of my wife Judi as chief garden MULE extraordinaire / Bug brain. I toil in our North Carolina garden (home in Hendersonville), and help Judi as computer consultant for development of Bigfoot the Butterfly (comic novel out on the web). In my spare moments I love pontooning at Lake Tarpon Pinellas city FL., or any fresh water lake I can find to dip my pontoon into.
After graduation from Jones attended college in Searcy Ark. and finished college with mechanical engineering degree from UH. Had two beautiful kids, son in Dallas and daughter living in Houston. My second marriage is to an artist / butterfly lady native of St. Petersburg FL. After drudgery of corporate world for many years, I'm delightfully happy to be just a garden mule. Keep in touch maybe we will cross paths at the reunion in Texas or on a trip through the state one of these days. Gene Allen

My husband of 35 yrs, Mark Padgett -Class of '59-… and I have lived in the Katy TX area for the last 12 yrs, and prior to that, for 17 years in Houston at I10/DairyAshford area, with a few years north of Houston and San Antonio. We have four children between us, two and two, who all attended Stratford H.S. and five grandchildren. I have been a Registered Nurse for 37 yrs and presently work in the Managed Care field as a Certified Case Manager. I was elected Case Manager of the Year for the Houston/Gulf Coast area in 2000. Mark has been in the Petrochemical/Engineering field for 37 yrs, 10 yrs with Fluor, 17 with KBR/Halliburton, and presently with Jacobs Engineering. We are looking forward to retirement, but have to spend a little more time fighting the Katy Freeway before it all comes together. We love the Guadalupe River area, around New Braunsfels, and would like to end up in the Hill County, if possible. Lura Padgett
My husband, Roy, and I were married in January 1962 in Houston. We left Houston in 1964 for the “Big D”. Our son, Travis, was born in August 1964 shortly after settling in Dallas. I worked for Braniff Airways for sixteen years in the Finance Department and stayed with the Company until the bitter end in May 1982. Roy worked for TI and Mostek while we were in Dallas and accepted an offer with Motorola in Austin in 1984. Since 1986 I’ve worked in the medical equipment and medical device industry. Currently, I’m the Financial Manager for Ascension Orthopedics, Inc. AOI designs and manufactures surgically implantable small joint prostheses, primarily finger joints.
Travis joined us in Austin after a couple of years, finished college at SWT, married Amy O’Donnell. Travis works for DuPont Photomask and Amy has a catering business. They blessed me with two beautiful grandchildren, Lauren, who is seven and Ian who is five. I’m fortunate to have them near me and see them every week.
Roy was diagnosed with lymphoma in January 1998 after several weeks of tests and doctors’ visits. We had been married 36 years when he died on January 25, 1998.
I live in Buda, about 15 miles south of Austin
